chocolate and cheese

Happy Valentines Day!

ween
chocolate and cheese

The fear of rain helped the 27 project along a bit yesterday.

1937 ford banjo rear end

I was able to pull out the '37 ford rear end that matches the front.

removing springs

Than the obligatory removal of the leaf springs.
How many times have I done this over the years!?
Just a half-ass scrape and clean job though.
If I get some spring shackles,
I'd reverse the main leaf and clean them up proper.
Later.

never-seize never seized

Here's a testament to never-seize, anti-seize, grey-grease.
I had cut the original radius rods,
and needed to remove the studs.
This should have been a bitch of a project involving removing the rear hubs.
I got lucky,
whoever put this together used enough grey grease all 4 nuts spun off easily.
Wow.

Ween - Baby Bitch - chicago 2003

I've got no reason to be sour this Valentine's Day,
this is just a cool version of one of the greatest break-up songs.

6 leaves

With basically every other leaf removed,
the rearend is ready.
I'll still have to put on some hydraulic backing plates.

chocolate and cheese

With the rearend on
the rear crossmember can be designed.

tall!

Looks tall huh!
I'm hoping it lowers a little bit.
Will need to pull out some tricks later
 - Z the rear frame, reverse main leaf, weight.

Hoping to get the rear crossmember made today!

Ween - Roses are Free
If you don't have this record yet,
(ween - chocolate and cheese)
get it.
You won't be disappointed!
