daily anthropomorphism

Is it me or does building a car, motorcycle or intricate mechanical device,
feel like breathing life into a pile of otherwise inanimate parts?

Chief (our RPU) had been sitting on jackstands for a really long time,
a good couple months - (it keeps the tires from squaring up)
It had essentially turned into one of those dried up house plants salted up from no water,
or that forgotten fish that somehow lives on in a murky aquarium.

The past couple weeks of tuning have finally paid off.
A good couple hour run with some fresh 91 gas and Chief's a totally different car.
Like a cold-blooded reptile basking in the heat of the sun,
in this case burning fuel.
The more we drove around the better it ran.
Ahhh.
So yeah I'm grasping at similes here,
unable to progress to "human-like" qualities the "anthro" title suggests.
Whatever.
The old RPU is almost back and road worthy.
Kinda like a wild horse after its first bare-back ride.
Yeah that's it.
