My third and hopefully final tijuana root canal.
Holy chit.

Thankfully they have anesthetic.
Those little needle files go down to the tips of each root.
He uses the x-ray and those white spacers to mark the correct depth.

The preliminary grind was done a couple days earlier.
He said my tongue was involuntarily pushing the tools,
so this time he wrapped my face in that rubber sheet.

Pretty much one of my more uncomfortable experiences.
My mouth was full of spit and the vacuum wouldn't suck it out,
cause of the seal from the rubber sheet.
In addition he's jamming those files into my jaw.
It wasn't very fun.
Still have to go down a couple more times.
I'm gonna floss more.

the kids and I swapped out the rear tires.
This hot rod stuff is a family affair!

The C&C was with good company.
A 1932 roadster was picked up in colorado to be shipped to New Zealand.

The guy had built this one for the past 30 years,
and decided he would rather have a 1940 convertible.

an Ardun flathead, Culver City Halibrand, quickchange,
 and curved stewart warner gauges.
Boxes of mystery parts to finish it up.

Jaxon was finally able to mow the grass underneath the roadster,
using the ancient lawnmower from papa's shed.
In the old days I used to use this thing to mow my grandparents lawn!

We snuck up to Santa Ana today and the kids had one of those life changing moments.

We paid our good madman friend Sloppy Sin an unexpected visit.

The kids were a little hesitant in the beginning,
this was their first time on a motorbike.

A couple laps around the local parking lot and they were hooked.
My biggest concern was they would go too fast and careen into the curb.
I was proud they had really good control of the situation.

We lost track of time while watching them.
It was alot of fun.
Now I'm in trouble they want their own.
Sloppy even hooked them up with a motor kit.

A busted transmission,
but there is a plan to pull it out of its dormancy.

The forces of friday the 13th were at work yesterday.
Remember the busted ipod I dropped in the kitchen sink?

It had been 2 weeks since the plunge,
and every day we'd push the button hoping for it to live again.

Well we called in to the higher powers,
the ipod whisperer came by and did a chant on it,
and what the heck do you think happened the next morning?

Unbelievably it came to life!
Sounds great,
nothing was erased,
and all the water spots in the screen had disappeared!

It's pretty incredible that it is working.
The ipod was in the sink for over half an hour.
The insides were soaked,
then the ipod sat in a bag or rice for a couple days.

Since I ruined the edge,
and also the little metal clips that keep the pieces closed,
a little tape will have to do for now.
